Some not so updated updates...

i'm not too sure if i've mentioned this before (STM).. but if you have still yet to watch protege and letters fom iwo jima.. they are 2 rather good movies. they are actually STILL showing.. AFTER SO LONG (if i'm not wrong)...
if you have to choose between movies.. i would recommend that you choose this 2 rahter than movies like norbit or epic movie.. i personally feel that those two would only make you stupid. of coz if you're in for laughs.. then choose the latter.. they are.. not as heavy as the first two.
worth for money? i think the first two... it's alright if you've not watched flag of our fathers. go into the cinema with an open mind.. and start cursing and swearing at the armys.. WAHAHA! protege is a rather interesting one.. and with the story told by nick the police.. eye candy daniel wu that is.. but don't have too high expectation if you're gonna look at gu tien le.. because you're just gonna be super duper grossed up..
and now for slightly more updated news.. that the last wk of clinicals.
and what happened over at the hospital for the not as rich but still rather rich folks out there... slack. thats the word. there ARE some bz moments.. but when they pass by the department becomes so desserted... so much so that with the aircon set on 30 deg.. you start to shiver.. eh... 30 deg??? that one not aircon already leh.. that's heater... but thats what the thermometer says.. WAHAHA!
there for the first time, i'm actually quite amazed by the facilities in the hospital. there's this term: 麻雀雖小,五臟齊全. good or bad, capable or uncapable.. you're left in charge of general because the others will be elsewhere doing CT, MRI, US, mammo, BMD. of coz no worries to patients.. if we're unsure of anything.. we'll just make them wait while we go look for help... like conventional leh.. processing so slow.. first u see too dark.. then u see too light.. then u see position not good.. then u see rich patient starting to wonder why need to take so many XRs... argh!!! very frustrating one!!! scary as well.. so.. cannot take risk leh.. WAHAHA! if is CR.. then i still dare to try try a bit.. WAHAHA!!!
the well know oblique spines... are a plenty... but still cannot master.. very ugly obliques.. open mouth on the other hand.. i think i can manage already.. just lucky? i did a couple of really nice open mouths.. WAHAHA!
lets see.. this hospital is still on conventional.. and i ended up with quite a number of reject films as well.. u see.. conventional sucks.. ok.. my exposure factors suck.. WAHAHA! talk to me about exposure factors.. i would just say i suck like hell! for CR, i'm not as scared for the exposure coz still can manipulate a bit... so the main concern is the positioning.. most of the stuff can be quite confident.. but sometimes..... haha!! lets just say.. there's always this anticipating emotion.. like WHAT WILL MY IMAGE LOOK LIKE?!?!?! 期待又怕受傷害..WHAAH! 期待照片出來會是怎樣,又害怕失望.. hahah! ok.. exaggerating here.. haha!
first time i'm seeing the totally automatic daylight processor(is that what u call it?) but its like so super duper slow?!!!! kinda irritating!! especially when mammo films and normal general XR films use the same processor.. which makes it even more irritating!! (mammo films take longer time to process)
ermm.. actually it's not totally automatic.. coz this stupid processor only has 3 slots for films.. and there is like 6 sizes/types of films used(A+,A, C, B, D, mammo).. which also means that some of the films have to load manually.. i'm SHORT.. so i find the table in the darkroom high.. WAHAHA!!! design of the room?? good? or bad?? WAHAHA! put the safe light dun seem safe.. i can actually read the film boxes just from the illumination of the safe light.. film fogging?? safe?? or not??
there's so little patients.. there's actually time for patient care. talk about patient care.. WAHAHA.. more like i'm a little too bored.. i started chatting up the patients... sometimes.. and NO!! they are not cute guys OK... but have to say that males are easier to chat up with compared to females.. or put it this way.. many females scares me off.. rich taitais are more demanding and some are even ridiculously demanding... irritating to the extent that makes you despise the rich.. and yeah.. back to the point of chatting up with patients. there was this patient that didnt know i was a student. and of coz i don't openly say i'm a student unless patient asks. this patient was asking me about the machines and whether they are the same as over a the other hospital in the same group. i had to explain. he even started asking me about breakfast and what are there to eat at that area... eh... then he asked if i was a radiologist.. of coz not.. i'm just a 'student' radiographer.. and he asked if i study radiography. like duh?!?!!? he asked if i went to the other hospital in that group.. i said yes.. and that i was attached there the previous wk. and i didn't lie but i'm really on attachment.. just that he thought staff there go on attachment as well.. hmph.. i didnt lie.. i just didnt correct him because he didnt ask.. it's not wrong right? WAHHAAHA!
worked with a couple of kids there..and peads XR.. rather interesting... call me sadist but i cant actually tolerate the screeching of the kidos.. hahaha!!!! have them screeching at the sharpest pitch a human ear can ever hear.. they have huge lung capacity!!!
most memorable would be MCU for this baby.. mm.. call her baby coz she's not yet 1 yr old. she's one really really cute baby.. and is easily amused by anything that moves. super duper hyper as well... just as the procedure is about to end she wakes up and starts to cry.. but can quite easily be stopped compared to those toddlers that would kick and scream and what not. babies.. so soft and cuddly.. irresistable!!! WAHAHA!!! (the pig with some maternal instincts..)
call me sadist.. i'm not thinking of how 'poor thing' the kid is to be undergoing such procedures. rather.. i'm rather enjoying this whole thing!! eh... ok.. i dunno how to put it.. but this is an interesting experience. WAHAHA! looking fwd to going KKH for more kido adventures~
so much for clinicals.. we've finally come to the end of block 1. so fast huh? haha!! nothing very amazing this block.. or put it this way.. the more clinicals enperienced... the lesser there is to talk about.. becuase they are like nothing.. way too common... WAHAHA!!!
and finally...
went to celebrate the end of clinicals with val. we had olio for dinner... the place was alright.. serving was rather big... for starters there was thier olio garden salad which i didnt really like.. bitter is the word.. but the sour dressing was good.. and only non bitter thing i tasted was the tomato.. soup was cream of mushroom.. dun look like the normal white cream of mushroom we usually have.. in fact its green?? with black mushroom bits or do u call them flakes?? very.... mushroom... i still prefer the good old white ones... the main was good.. would be better if they have more sauce.. serving was big.. with the only bad thing is that the fondue was out of stock.. why is it that everytime we wanna eat fondue also dun have!!!! so we had their olio brownie.. it was good.. chocolate makes one happy!!! and fat.

yesterday was celebration of esther's 21st. lunch at spageddies.. other than me and val, the rest who attended where collegues/ex-collegues.. and the manager of that branch was also their ex-collegues. so we had rather good offers i must say.. WAHAH! talk about complementary garlic bread, some fried starters platter(whatever u call it), complementary desserts of brownie, chocolate cake, tramisu..
had crayfish pasta.. the pasta was so superbly salty.. with so much garlic.. i was feeling like a garlic for more than 3 hrs after the meal man!!! a gallon water wouldnt drown the salt and garlic in me.. WAHAHA! as for the crayfish.. it's prob the only nice thing in the dish.. ok.. that was the only other thing on the plate.. not too bad.. though salty as well..
the only thing i found nice at that place was the tramisu.. it's really gd..
on the whole.. i guess i don't really like italian cuisine... don't really like the spices and herbs and what not that they use.. oh well.. i'm a true blue asian.. WAHAHA!
p/S: sorry for the torture of this super long entry..
