the hotel we were staying at was fully booked, so we were upgraded to deluxe room, which was.. bigger.. but a hotel room is afterall.. STILL a hotel room, so.. nothing much to talk abt. this hotel is famous for their carabet, but didnt go watch coz watched before over at phuket the other time..i'm not a BIG shopping freak, so bangkok (to me) aint exactly a shopping paradise. bought a little (excluding stuff shared with sis) got 3 leather bangles, 3 watches, 2 tops(fcuk, billabong), 1 "birkenstock" sandle.sis bought the voodoo doll handphone strap.. very popular there(can be found at bugis and far east as well) but it's super cheap there. there are lots of designs and relatively cheap as well. the hotel we stayed at is connected to the skytrain, so it's sky train we took everyday. and the taxis there are super duper cheap as well! the boarding price is only abt SGD$1.40! there are lots of shops over at bangkok, the mega shopping centers are all linked together.. SO MANY things sold there.. i cant even remember where's the best grabs! however most of the goods there are relatively expensive... they have certain shopping centers whereby high quality goods congregate. those stuff are even more expensive than in SG. other than the luxury goods, those so called cheapo stuff are more fot bargaining.went for a little sight seeing. too the river taxi along the Chao Phraya River, Wat Phra Kaewover(some thai temple) and the grand palace(where the campaign was supposedly held, but see no one).. also went to the 4 faced buddha, a supposedly MUST GO for everyone visiting bangkok.the main point was still shopping.. however the weather was bad, temperature everyday was like 35 deg. **sweat** the food wasnt that fantastic.. food is super salty and drinks super sweet.(their taste butts are like spoilt by the spicy stuff i guess~)
so basically kept drinking water and eating fruits. (the only neutral thing around.)4 days was a little TOO long for me though.. got a little bored after a while, and very tiring. at the beginning, its shopping and bargaining, then u start getting tired of bargaining and just buy what u wanted(after all the things ARE already cheap, u just want to bargain for a EVEN cheaper price) then u start to get MORE tired and everything didnt seem buy-able.so much for the trip, i'll probably not be entering bangkok for another few years.. yawnz~~on another note, it's approaching the end of the holidays ONCE AGAIN.. sian.. another 9 more days left... and this means results coming out soon as well.. hmm....
